Looking for an engrossing giraffe painting to grace your living room, bedroom, office, or hotel wall?
Then explore our stunning giraffe art collection.
Giraffes are the world's tallest animals—by a loooong stretch.
And so I could barely fit this adult giraffe and my son in a single picture when they were standing just meters (yards) apart.
Not to belabor the height issue, but when my family goes to hang out with the rescued Rothschild giraffes at Nairobi's Giraffe Center...
We have to head over to the upper deck to enable them to (still!) stoop down to the pellets in our hands and mouths.
In the photos below, my daughter and son are readying for action with their mouths.
The feeling is simply otherworldly.
But I digress…
All the paintings showcased below are guaranteed to add a touch of elegance to any space.
And it doesn't matter which species are depicted:
These species may have different coat patterns, but goodness me, aren't they all super-elegant!
In this semi-abstract rendering, Hoods—the artist—goes beyond the confines of realism.
And the asymmetry adds a clever 3D effect.
It may be difficult to fit a fully grown giraffe on a canvas that measures just 27.6 in x 35.4 in (70 cm x 90 cm) but aspects of the lanky mammal are definitely decipherable.
Tail? Hooves? Head? Neck? Eyes? A bit of everything, perhaps? You tell me!
All I can say is that if some typical giraffe features are not immediately obvious, take a closer look.
While abstract art may mean different things to different people, we should at least agree on one or two details depicted in this painting.
Artist: Hoods Jjuuko
Authenticity: Signed "Jjuuko Hoods" in bottom right corner. Artist photographed posing with his masterpiece.
And oh, that's me to the left...
Materials: Oil on canvas
Dimensions: 27.6 in x 35.4 in (70 cm x 90 cm)
Description: This giraffe painting by Hoods Jjuuko in muted, vibrant colors would be the perfect choice if you've been foraging:) for standout African wall art.
Or a gift for those special people in your life who are well-endowed from a height perspective.
Or anyone who loves authentic African art.
Hoods was probably inspired by the Rothschild's giraffe, also known as the Baringo or Ugandan giraffe, which inhabits the protected areas of his native Uganda.

I guess you could say I know a good giraffe painting when I see one because I have seen these graceful animals upclose.
Heck, I have even touched and kissed several of them! It's the deepest kiss ever (please don't tell my husband ;-). And the slimiest. Hands down!
Any wonder that giraffe art is a personal favorite in the especially popular category of our African wildlife art?
